Acorn Boy

Lonely old me; spent a day all on my own
Lonely little boy sat in solace on his throne
Lonely little acorn; a breeze won’t blow him down
Where’s the axe man when you need him
to cut away his ostracising frown

Lonely little acorn boy sat that way forever
     up in a tree
     on a throne of thorns
And no one knew what to make of him as he laughed
at the thunder and the rain
     through each and every storm

Lonely acorn boy high up in the trees
Yeah, spent all day alone, and time passes slow
when you forget that you can speak

Splodge!

Dark are the trees
